The MC75i, TC65i, TC65i-X, and TC63i product platform brings big benefits to your business with EDGE, GPRS, GSM, and Java™ technology, optimized size and performance that comes courtesy of an ARM9 processor, and an RLS Monitor (Jamming Detection). Apart from the difference in lengths, the new platform’s modules are compatible with the MC75, TC65, and TC63 modules. Built on a common technology platform, the three new modules offer Quad-Band GSM, TCP/IP functionality, and M2M interfaces such as a serial or I²C bus. Engineered for compatibility, they share the same size, mounting array, and command set.

The different modules’ data transmission speeds and the Java™ open platform funcitionality vary to meet the needs of various M2M applications such as metering, security, remote maintenance, and control. The HC25 provides HSDPA 3.6 Mbit/s download speed, Tri-Band UMTS/HSDPA, Quad-Band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, an IL/NDIS/USB driver for Microsoft® Windows Mobile™-based devices, and robust mounting and interfaces, including a serial and USB port. Beyond that, the HC25 offers on-board GPS functionality, making it a good choice for tracking applications, and meets the USA’s E911 standard.

(EOL - End of Life Announcement)

The SDSB75 Development Support Board is designed to assist system integrators in developing and evaluating products based on Siemens GSM modules. Furthermore, it is part of the Siemens reference equipment submitted for Type Approval GSM modules. SDSB75 comes as a universal evaluation kit for variety of different Siemens GSM modules.

At present these are the following: MC55, MC56, XT55, XT56, TC63, TC65, MC75, XT65, XT75,  HC15, HC25, AC75, AC65

Due to the End of Life of key components Cinterion is forced to phase out MC75, however, Cinterion has recently launched its second generation scalable platform products including MC75i.  The new platform offers significant improvements including an expanded feature set, a smaller footprint, and backwards compatibility.
